About

I am a computer science graduate student in the Department of Computer Science at Michigan Technological University, where I work with Dr. Bo Chen on secure and trustworthy decentralized systems. I joined Michigan Tech in Spring 2025 and expect to complete my M.S. in Computer Science in Fall 2026.

Before joining Michigan Tech, I earned my B.S. in Computer Engineering from Islamic Azad University and worked with Dr. Mostafa Haghi Kashani on fog computing and IoT-enabled smart cities. Outside research, I enjoy biking and reading.

My current research focuses on secure decentralized cloud systems and trustworthy AI systems. I am particularly interested in decentralized storage, distributed system resilience, trusted execution, and mechanisms for preserving integrity and verifiability in untrusted environments. I am also exploring security and trust challenges in distributed and agentic AI systems.

I publish academic work under my full name, Amirmehdi Moghadamfarid.
